Job Summary:

  • This role partners with leaders to develop and implement innovative experiences, shaping product and project strategies to address complex design challenges and meet customer needs. It involves utilizing all research sources available at Zoro through tools and other departments. 
  • You will execute usability research and design processes, mentor junior team members, and manage complex projects to deliver impactful user experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate closely with design and product management to envision and implement innovative user experiences that align with customer needs and business goals. 
  • Drive strategic initiatives across products and projects, solving complex design challenges to create effective, user-centered solutions.
  • Proactively identify design opportunities from qualitative research findings and quantitative behavioral analytics.
  • Estimate, execute, and complete complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Deliver impactful and consistent user experiences by maintaining a high standard of design excellence and ensuring alignment across all touchpoints.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Experience Design (UX) or Product Design, with a strong preference for e-commerce experience.
  • Expertise in design and prototyping with Figma. 
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace products, agile and Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion abilities, with a proven track record of securing stakeholder and senior management buy-in.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced training in Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking, Human Factors, Human Computer Interactions (HCI), Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence for Agile and Kanban collaboration, practical knowledge of Google Analytics, FullStory, Looker, UserTesting.com and Builder.io.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA Section 508 compliance, Responsive Web Design practices, and experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
