Procurement Executive / Senior Procurement Executive

The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for electronic and mechanical components, ensuring timely material availability to support production while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery. The role involves supplier coordination, ERP/MRP management, inventory control, procurement process improvements, and proactive risk mitigation for critical materials.
Process purchase orders for electronic and mechanical materials based on approved purchase requisitions, contracts, and production requirements.
Follow up with suppliers for purchase order acknowledgements, production status, delivery schedules, and ensure on-time material availability.
Coordinate with Stores, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Production teams to ensure smooth receipt, inspection, and acceptance of materials.
Monitor MRP exceptions and update Expected Time of Delivery (ETD) accurately in the ERP system.
Verify supplier invoices, track Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and resolve discrepancies related to quantity, pricing, quality, or delivery.
Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase documentation, and ERP master data while ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new domestic and international suppliers to improve cost, quality, lead time, and supply reliability.
Manage procurement activities for both domestic and import suppliers, including order tracking, logistics coordination, and documentation.
Develop procurement strategies for high lead-time and critical components by implementing proactive planning and supply risk mitigation measures.
Monitor inventory levels and support inventory flow control to maintain optimum stock while minimizing excess and shortages.
Collect supplier quotations, perform techno-commercial comparisons, and support supplier selection based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and commercial terms.
Drive procurement process automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities, ensuring timely procurement and payment processing.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Inventory Control.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Good understanding of the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle.
Experience handling both domestic and import procurement.
Knowledge of supplier management, sourcing strategies, and vendor development.
Understanding of inventory planning and material flow management.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP reporting tools.
Experience in procurement automation and process improvement initiatives is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
4–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving electronic and mechanical components.
