- Provide mentoring and leadership to new engineers to help them understand the solution, processes, tools, etc.
- Considered a department expert in one or more technical areas and is frequently consulted by other for this expertise.
- Design and develop software automation framework
- Perform verification of software functionality.
- Capable of debugging and troubleshooting system software.
- Participated in a least three full telecom/datacom product verification life cycles working in multiple system areas.
- Capable of representing the Engineering department within company forums such as process discussions, customer support, etc.
- Bachelor / master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, or B Tech/BE/MTECH/MS in ECE or in CSE equivalent education required.
- At least 7 - 10 years of active experience.
- Experience with network management/element management systems
- Experience with service provider/WAN networking concepts with an emphasis on Ethernet technologies
- Proficiency with popular test automation frameworks
- Proficiency on Linux and system administration
- Experience with REST API usage and definition
- Experience with SNMP, Netconf or any other Network management protocol
- High energy contributor with excellent team skills
- Strong written and oral communications skill
- Good mentoring skills
- Experience tracking and reconciling product requirements with the product owner/product management function
- Good self-organization “Self-starter, get things done” mindset.
- Desire and ability to learn.
- Solid understanding of data communications networking with an emphasis on Ethernet technologies. Industry standards awareness is a plus.
- May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
