The Lead Instrumentation & Control will be part of the Systems Engineering team will be responsible for the technical leadership, design, execution, verification, and delivery of Steam Turbine Control, Protection, Process instrumentation and Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation Systems for Nuclear Power Plant projects.
The selected candidate shall have the knowhow on industrial engineering activities , specification development and implementation of field instrumentation and controls principles across all project phases—from tendering through detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. The role requires expertise in turbine control systems, turbine supervisory instrumentation (TSI, nuclear regulatory standards, cybersecurity, and system integration.
Working alongside Engineers, lead engineers, Project Engineering Manager and Project Managers, the Lead Engineer – I&C will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with nuclear quality, safety, cybersecurity, and customer requirements while delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Technical competencies:
- Good understanding of I&C engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of core subjects related to the role (Instrumentation, Control Systems, Sensors, Electronics, Electrical wiring , Cyber security requirements, Nuclear safety culture etc.)
- Knowledge on Functional safety principles, Redundant Architectures and Single Failure Criterion
- Steam turbine Generator operation and control, Turbine startup, shutdown, synchronization and loading sequences. Turbine protection and trip systems & balance of plant interfaces.
- Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings/documents like P&IDs, datasheets, System design manuals and logic diagrams.
- Provide technical direction to engineering teams throughout project execution.
- Drive technical decisions, design reviews, risk assessments, and resolution of complex engineering issues.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, commissioning teams, and multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
- Able to develop engineering schedules and resource plans
- Track engineering deliverables, technical risks and project milestones
- Project progress reporting and consolidation of lesson learned.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- 12+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Control
- 5+ yrs in technical leadership

Skills Required

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- At least 12 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering
- At least 5 years of technical leadership experience
- Experience in nuclear power, conventional power, or critical industrial process applications
- Experience with GE Mark VIe control systems
