Job Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:• Lead end-to-end design and development of seat structures and mechanisms, ensuring manufacturability, packaging feasibility, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements (AIS, ECE, FMVSS).• Create and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups as per standard design practices.• Perform kinematic/motion studies, engineering calculations, and validation including physical testing support.• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams; conduct design reviews and resolve technical queries.• Manage product data in PLM/Teamcenter and ensure timely closure of issues and delivery as per PDP milestones.• Prepare SORs, maintain lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.• Mentor team members, ensure workload planning, quality checks, and adherence to processes and safety standards.• Ensure clear communication of deliverables and flexibility to support cross-BU activities and travel requirements.
Requirements:• Experience in automotive seat structure design.• Strong CAD, GD&T, and PLM/Teamcenter expertise.• Knowledge of regulatory standards, kinematics, and engineering fundamentals.• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualification, Experience & Skills and Competencies:
(Min & Max, industry) : 8 + Years experienced, Diploma/Bachelor's degree in mechanical/production/Automobile Engineering

Skills Required

  • 8+ years experience in automotive seat structure design
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering
  • Strong 3D CAD skills and ability to create/review 2D drawings
  • GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack-up capability
  • PLM expertise, specifically Teamcenter
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (AIS, ECE, FMVSS)
  • Kinematics/motion study and engineering fundamentals for validation and testing support
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to mentor team members
