The Role

Are you an experienced Software Architect looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of software development? Look no further than Kyndryl, where you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact as you lead the design and development of cutting-edge software applications.    
As a Software Engineering Architect at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for leading the charge in creating technical blueprints, defining product/solution architecture, and developing the technical specifications for our projects. You'll be a key player in integrating the features of our software applications into a cohesive and functioning system.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP solutions aligned to business needs

• Define solution architecture, integration patterns, and best practices

• Act as the technical authority across SAP modules and landscapes

• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of SAP systems

• Oversee development, customization, and enhancements across SAP modules

• Guide teams on ABAP development, Fiori/UI5, and SAP configurations

• Ensure adherence to coding standards and development guidelines

• Drive DevOps practices within SAP landscape

• Manage SAP environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD)

• Support S/4HANA transformation initiatives and upgrades

• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and system optimization

• Design and maintain messaging and integration solutions for distributed systems

• Testing, Release & Deployment

• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability of middleware components

• Provide L2/L3 support for SAP systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to messaging, integration, and application hosting

• Support application deployments and release management activities

• Implement security, access control, and compliance policies

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

• Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency

Your analytical and creative mindset will be put to the test as you anticipate trends, stay up-to-date on leading technology, and participate in Kyndryl's architectural boards. Your expertise will guide functional objectives and technologies, and you'll be a driving force in evaluating, identifying, and developing software solutions.
In addition to your technical prowess, you'll also be a strong leader and communicator, able to train and oversee the activities of our development team. You'll foster a collaborative environment and work closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to ensure our software solutions are meeting the needs of our business and our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong experience in SAP ecosystem, including: SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC (legacy support)

• 8 - 10 Years as Lead Engineer SAP

• HCM / SuccessFactorsSD (Sales & Distribution),MM (Materials Management),FI/CO (Finance & Controlling),Functional exposure to modules:

• CDS Views, OData servicesSAP Fiori / UI5, ABAP / OO ABAP, Strong hands-on expertise in:

• Troubleshooting, Debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization skills

• Knowledge of API gateways and microservices architecture

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)

• Scripting skills (Shell, Python)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science / IT / Engineering

• SAP certifications (S/4HANA, ABAP, Fiori, Integration) – Preferred

• Banking / BFSi preferred
