Position Overview
Lead Embedded Software Engineers, work closely with Electronics & Electrical Systems product development organization. This position involves working closely with several other functions including Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability and Regulatory. The ideal candidate will be an individual with a passion for problem solving and debugging and team management.
Job Description.
- Design and Develop power electronic software and specifications for motor controls for power tools & Outdoor products
- Manage few people to make sure the deliverables are on time and on quality
- Generate application level embedded code from Platform
- Implement and validate electronic designs through test and MATLAB simulation work.
- Develop software verification and validation procedures that include unit and integration testing.
- Help leadership in achieving cost, performance and quality objectives of all related electronic systems, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Develop solutions for electronic system related issues as a member of a project team.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained for work performed.
- Translate customer requirements into software specifications.
- Analyze and reach sound decisions in complex technical situations.
- Embrace cross functional teamwork.
Employee Specifications
- ≥ Master’s degree from accredited electrical or automation engineering college
- 10+ years of experience in research/product development of embedded firmware
- Has experience managing more than 3 team members in parallel.
- Extensive knowledge of writing and debugging embedded microcontrollers in C/C++
- Experience with motor control techniques, including field-oriented control and sensored or sensorless control. Experience with closed loop control and feedback systems for AC and DC motors.
- Familiar with software development processes and controls (static analysis, version control, unit testing, bug tracking).
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration tools.
- Ability to generate and evaluate creative/innovative ideas and inspire others to do so.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills influence the organization and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Experience with Agile or V model development process, Ability to handle 3~4 concurrent projects.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
