As EROAD expands globally, we are seeking a skilled Lead Engineer to design and develop software with a strong understanding of continuous delivery practices, high levels of automation, and cloud-native software engineering. Roles & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, developing & delivering complex mobile software solution for applications used by drivers & supervisors.
Participating in peer reviews and owning the technical debt across various products.
Ensuring the team follows engineering best practices, including logging & monitoring across various production platforms.
Primarily, you will be working on Native Android development, node.js & Kubernetes.
You will also be involved in various technical discussions and occasionally development for products based on C# and React Native.
As part of this role, you might be expected for being part of on-call roster
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role the following experience is preferred:
3+ years’ experience leading technical teams, within technology sector.
5+ years’ practical experience in software engineering, software delivery, business analysis, project delivery or in a similar function.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin / Java and Android framework.
Back-end development experience with Java or Node.js
Familiarity with other mobile development frameworks such as React Native / Xamarin / KMM (Kotlin Multi-Platform).
Experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions on Azure or AWS.
Competent in designing and developing software within microservice architecture.
Experience with building efficient No SQL / SQL database queries.
Experience with REST services using JSON OpenAPI specification.
Experience with event-driven architecture and Domain Driven Design concepts.
Develop robust unit tests and comprehensive automation tests for the application features.
Experience with any CI/CD tool such as Azure DevOps / Git / Terraform.
Experience with containerization and virtualization platforms, especially Docker
Design and develop software for mobile devices with complex business requirements.
Ensure that best and up to date industry standards are followed for design and implementation of the development work.
