Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is GE Aerospace’s multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Pushing the boundaries of innovation every day, engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities
Involves in design and development of aircraft engines components from conceptual design phase till testing and validation of concepts. Develops in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking and technical experience to execute projects/programs.
An individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills; Provides informal guidance to new team members
Owns individual, moderate complex components and analysis.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Ideal Candidate:
Should have experience in in mechanical design and analyses of structural/rotating components.
Required Qualifications
MTech (Master of Technology)/ MS (Master of Science) in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
4+ years of experience in mechanical design and analyses of structural/rotating components
Experience in tools: Ansys and Unigraphics
Desired Qualifications
Experience in design and analyses of gas turbine components
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to document, plan and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
