Lead Engineer - Embedded
Role Overview:
Software engineer for development of complex systems involving firmware and embedded components. Individuals must have the ability to develop system requirements, system design and development, system test requirements and establish a system design approach based on those requirements aligned with the defined coding standards. The selected candidate must have a background in embedded software development, devices/system interaction and troubleshooting, and will be involved in all aspects of the product development process (concept, design, validation and production). The selected candidate will interact frequently with project management both locally and in the U.S. Will need to work with customers at global locations across different time-zones.
On a typical day you will:
- Software engineer for development of complex systems involving firmware and embedded components.
- To develop system requirements, system design and development, system test requirements and establish a system design approach based on those requirements aligned with the defined coding standards.
- Must have a background in embedded software development, devices/system interaction and troubleshooting, and will be involved in all aspects of the product development process (concept, design, validation and production).
- Interact frequently with project management both locally and in the U.S. Will need to work with customers at global locations across different time-zones. Experience in modem firmware development and networking experience will be a plus
What you will need to be successful:
- Minimum 6+ years software development experience required as below:
- Proven expertise in all aspects of product development process, right from conceptualization to field deployment to support
- Must have worked on Board Support Packages, custom device drivers, firmware modules, and bare‑metal embedded platforms, hardware bring‑up and low‑level system initialization.
- Must have worked on complex systems involving embedded and multithreaded application.
- Strong technical knowledge in relevant area of expertise – Embedded Applications, RTOS, communication protocols (UART, SPI, CAN), microprocessors and microcontroller
- Competence in C/C++, exposure to assembly language
- Strong & diverse technical skills including an ability to use H/W scope probes, in-Circuit-Emulators, Simulators and Debuggers for trouble shooting
- Passionate to learn newer trends and technologies and should be strong in adapting the tools for the same
- Desirable Competencies:
- Working experience on IOT, MQTT and network interfaces
- Working knowledge on communication standards like RS232, RS 422, CAN, Ethernet etc.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools
- Agile and scrum working experience
