You will join a global engineering team that is part of the Mechanical CoE.
This is a cross-functional role to:
• Perform calculation for enclosures structure or review internal design calculation or approve calculation report delivered by supplier to validate their design.
• Depending on load assessment, you could also:
o Create and Deliver specifications and BOMs for the projects, and drawings with Drafting team support.
o Collaborate with suppliers.
o Provide technical assistance to the sites.
• cover all stages of the life cycle of the product starting from NPI and ITR to field issue resolution.
Lead engineer is in close contact with Technical Leader, Principal engineer and Senior Principal Engineer. He/she interacts with PFL (Product Fulfilment Leader), GT-PE (Gas Turbine Project Engineer), customers, suppliers, site, acoustic team and ventilation team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Owner will be responsible to:
- Keep Safety as the first priority in its daily work.
- Provide calculation for enclosure, review internal design calculation and /or approve calculation delivered by supplier to validate their design.
- Ensure the design is per applicable rules, regulations codes and standards, design practice/work instruction, contractual requirement.
- Support on time Root Cause Analysis closure.
- Provide input in weekly scrum and project review meetings.
- Develop knowledge in the discipline.
Depending on load assessment, you could also :
- Coordinate and manage the execution of design tasks (Drawing/Specification/Bill Of Materials) to deliver on time with expected quality level.
- Support qualification of new suppliers or new products.
- Knows how or will learn how our scope is interfaced with others.
Required Qualifications
- Calculations skills with Staad pro and/or Ansys.
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.
- 4-5 years of engineering experience.
- Know and apply design methods, rules and tools to specify the systems/ components
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong mechanical or Structural background.
- Exposure in various building code
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- System approach.
- Skill to interact with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Readiness to travel for workshop/site inspections few times per year (up to 10% of its time).

- Following would be an advantage:
- Know-how of GT/ST/Generator Enclosures would be an advantage.
- knowledge of GE Vernova tools and methods (e.g. GTCC-PLM, ClearOrbit (SDR, RFI, NCR),…).
- Specific Knowledge about the relevant codes and standards like IEC, ASCE, ANSI, etc.
- Knowledge of Interfaces especially on Heating & Ventilation, firefighting
