Electronic Solutions develops the avionics, navigation systems, sensors and electromagnetic defense technology that help aircraft perform safely and with precision. Our systems are on board 90% of the world's aircraft — serving commercial aviation, defense and space operators from integrated flight deck platforms with 30-plus years in service to radiation-hardened systems trusted for human spaceflight.

Lead Embedded Engineer is a global V&V technical leadership position that will be placed at the location of the selected candidate (HTS-Hyderabad or HTS Bangalore). The person will be responsible for driving the Technology roadmap aligned to Integrated Flight Deck Systems (IFS)  transformation objective & accountable for standardization of test Environment, frameworks, enhancing automation, deploying simulation and strengthening the Certification process & handoffs by cross leveraging the technology and adapting the best practices across Aerospace project teams to improve products cycle time, quality and reduce cost. 

This role is critical to execute IFS Programs & drive innovation for new future products & features. This role will require coordination and collaboration across several functional teams, program management, engineering, certification, applications, and OEM. (70% - 80% of time).

Responsibilities
  • Drive NPI with Growth & Innovation Focus for FS Product line  
  • Drive Challenging Schedule, cost & Quality for IFS  
  • Collaborate with Chief, Fellows, Cert and offering to prepare the defendable Cert plan 
  • Plan and execute programs within the Software V&V CoE and key stakeholders like Development IPT leaders, Architects, Program Lead, SPE and PM. 
  • Develop work package structure, leads creation of cost, integrated schedules and milestones for all the programs 
  •  Define and implement test strategies for IFS systems, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. 
  • Develop test plans & review test procedures and test cases to ensure coverage of IFS requirements. 
  • Lead the selection and deployment of simulation environments and test automation frameworks. 
  • Ensure all V&V activities comply with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-330, DO332). 
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and regression test suites through continuous testing 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless verification. 
  • Prepare and review certification documentation and support audits and regulatory reviews. 
  • Mentor and guide V&V teams in best practices for IFS Platforms testing, simulation, and automation. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in V&V processes, tools, and methodologies. 
  • Driving the STRAP improvement goals and strategies during the program execution 
  • Driving Growth (min 2 ideas GBE approved) 
Qualifications
  • BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech with atleast 12+ Yrs of experience in AEROSPACE industry in V&V and certifying products related to Integrated Flight Deck Systems 
  • Strong understanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use and well versed in industry standards and direction.
  • Experience in leading Test Strategy design and architecture specific product lines. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly so that it may be understood by both technical and non-technical individuals 
  • Two or more years of experience in handling IFS Legacy, NG platforms and Graphics core product line
  • Demonstrated experience in progressively challenging and Responsible roles. 
  • Must have experience working in Matrix organization structure.

  • Experience in evaluating new technologies (multi core processors, hand-held, graphics etc), new architecture design tools experienced in developing and defining process that helps mistake proof work in the efficient way
  • Demonstrated communication, relationship and team building skills
  • Action Oriented: Works hard, full of energy; not fearful of acting with best data even if incomplete; seizes opportunities when they arise

Skills Required

  • BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech with at least 12+ years in aerospace V&V certifying Integrated Flight Deck Systems
  • Strong understanding of software verification methods, tools, and aerospace industry standards/direction
  • Experience leading test strategy design and architecture for product lines
  • Experience defining and executing HIL, integration, and system-level test strategies and automation
  • Minimum two years experience handling IFS Legacy, NG platforms and Graphics core product line
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibility and leadership in relevant roles
  • Experience working within a matrix organization
  • Experience with configuration management and change request tools (DOORs, ClearCase, ClearQuest, JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo)
  • Experience with product certification per FAA/EASA and DO-178B/C, ARP4754A
  • Experience providing technical leadership to cross-discipline, cross-site teams
