About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Brisbane office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects, including those related to battery minerals and plant optimisation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia.
  • Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, including reviewing and marking up technical drawings and providing construction and commissioning support.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications, detailed designs, and work packs/scopes of work.
  • Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning, and contractor management.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required for this position, with good communication skills essential for regular client interaction.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
  • Expertise in the design and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.
  • Expertise in functional safety lifecycle documentations specifically the development of LOPA method from the process safety standard.
  • Experience conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems, including proficiency in electrical system calculations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, overseeing and coordinating the work of junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with heavy industry clients in the minerals processing.
  • Registered/Chartered Engineer status, with RPEQ preferable.
  • Knowledge of control systems design.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy setting.
  • Experience with studies and (FEED). 
  • Proficiency in workshop facilitation (HAZOP).
  • Project management skills.
