Job descriptionAs a Lead DXP Engineer, you will design, develop and implement high-performance applications with a strong focus on scalability, security and performance. Working in project teams and collaborating closely with subject matter experts, you will help maintain high software quality and continuously improve our development, testing and build processes.
Your responsibilities- Take responsibility for the conception, further development and implementation of applications, with a particular focus on scalability, security and performance
- Develop high-performance Java-based applications within project teams and in close collaboration with subject matter experts
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards, best practices and continuous optimization of the codebase
- Continuously improve our development tools and automated testing and build processes
- A completed degree in computer science or comparable qualifications
- Several years of practical professional experience as a Java backend developer in a web environment
- Experience with code review processes and agile working methods such as Scrum
- Experience developing data-driven applications using Java, Spring Boot and SQL, with web frontends built in TypeScript or Vaadin
- Experience developing CMS solutions, such as Magnolia or AEM
- A strong commitment to software design quality
- A conceptual and systematic approach combined with a strong implementation focus, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and appropriately for different audiences
- Strong analytical thinking, a proactive and independent working style, and excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- The ability and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with a broad and demanding range of tasks and take ownership
