We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead DevOps Engineer with advanced expertise in GitHub to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. This role will leverage GitHub's cutting-edge capabilities to enhance security, compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative DevOps culture. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, proven experience in cloud and DevOps practices, and relevant certifications to drive automation and continuous improvement.



What you will do:


  • CI/CD Pipeline Development:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Automate deployment, testing, and integration workflows to streamline development and improve productivity.
  • Azure Infrastructure Management:

  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep for efficient infrastructure automation.
  • GitHub Administration and Advanced Security:

  • Manage GitHub repositories, workflows, and version control systems following best practices.
  • Leverage GitHub Advanced Security features for vulnerability scanning, compliance monitoring, and secure code practices.
  • Configure and optimize GitHub Actions to automate workflows securely and effectively.
  • Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Performance Management:

  • Monitor and optimize system performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure reliability, scalability, and availability.
  • Security and Compliance:

  • Implement Azure security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Policy, and Azure Key Vault for secure secrets management.
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data.
  • Collaboration and Team Development:

  • Partner with development, operations, and security teams to promote a collaborative DevOps culture.
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in DevOps and cloud security.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance automation, security, and infrastructure management.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Core Expertise:

  • 12+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases.
  • Skilled in CI/CD pipeline design and management using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Expertise in GitHub administration, including GitHub Advanced Security and GitHub Actions.
  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for process automation.
  • Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Ability to manage diverse tasks and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Security and Compliance:

  • Experience with Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Azure Policy, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and ability to conduct regular security audits.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Required Certifications:
  • GitHub: GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Actions, GitHub Admin.
  • Microsoft Azure: AZ-104 or AZ-103 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
