As a Lead DevOps Engineer at SimCorp, you are expected to take a proactive stance in our agile environment and find fulfillment in driving technical leadership within your team. Your role demands a high level of proficiency in utilizing Cloud Technology Tool stacks and a deep expertise in Windows OS and its applications. Your knowledge and experience in automation and scripting tools like Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell are essential. As a lead, you are expected not just to be proficient in these areas but also to drive their strategic implementations and improvements, ensuring that our solutions are always at the forefront of technological advancements.

What will you be responsible for  

  • Leading the design and maintenance of a bespoke system for the automated deployment of SimCorp Dimension on the Azure cloud platform. 

  • Proactively engaging in Scrum events and leading strategic planning sessions to accomplish team objectives, including defining sprint completion criteria. 

  • Collaborating with the product owner and fellow engineers to enhance and refine new features, setting an example of excellence. 

  • Driving personal growth and advancing the team and our product by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.  

  • Actively contributing to and leading knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.  

  • Investigating novel technologies and leading the assessment of potential solutions.  

  • Your leadership will be pivotal in leveraging technologies and products such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure 

 

Technologies We Use  

 

PowerShell, Azure REST API, ARM/Bicep templates, Virtual Machines (VMs) and VM scale set, Azure DevOps Suite, Log Analytics, Windows OS & Active Directory. These will be essential in successfully deploying, managing, and optimizing SimCorp Dimension on the Azure cloud platform.  

What We Value in Our Lead DevOps Engineer  

 

  • Mastery in Terraform and Ansible.  

  • Profound experience with Azure configuration tool stack (ARM templates, Bicep, Az CLI).  

  • Expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployment, and orchestration.  

  • Hands-on experience in modern CI/CD solutions and SecDevOps principles.  

  • Proven track record in deploying and configuring Windows OS and applications.  

  • Strong familiarity with the .NET framework and a broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure automation.  

  • Familiarity with Grafana/Prometheus monitoring stack.  

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role in an international environment.  

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset.  

Other requirements

  • APAC shift hours (May change depending on business needs)
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2x a week in office)
