This role is responsible for team leadership with task assignments and managing the flow of daily operations with software design, development, and support of existing systems. You will be responsible for the design, documentation, coding, unit testing, systems testing, and deployment of software applications. In addition, you will work closely with other developers, project managers, analysts, leaders, and clinicians to obtain regular feedback on design and development. This role utilizes advanced knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies. 

 

A caregiver in this position works remotely out of Ohio, Florida, or Nevada, Monday – Friday from 8:00am—5:00pm.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Direct the efforts of software developers and other technical team members in a team daily. 

  • Communicate clear instructions to team members. 

  • Develop a strategy that the team members can use to better reach a project’s goal. 

  • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery. 

  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship. 

  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. 

  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team 

  • Analyze, design, and coordinate the development of software systems. 

  • Iterates with team members around design and development. 

  • Determine and communicate the implications of system-level decisions on subsystems and components. 

  • Make presentations to clinicians and hospital leaders. 

  • Observe workflows. 

  • Translate clinical problems into innovative healthcare solutions. 

  • Gather business and application specific requirements. 

  • Ensure all requirements are met as well as maintained within defined project scope 

  • Bring new ideas and industry solutions to healthcare for a unique application. 

  • Keep up with industry trends both from Healthcare IT as well as from the application development perspectives. 

  • Determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems, software, application programs, or network failures and support as necessary. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. 

  • A minimum of 15 years of software development experience. 

  • Offset: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and 20 years of experience. 

  • Offset: Associate’s Degree and 18 years of experience 

  • Offset: If position is hired into the Digital Mobile Department, High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years iOS and/or Android development experience required. 

  • Offset: If position is hired to support the ServiceNow technology, High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years ServiceNow experience required. 

  • Offset: If position is hired to support Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP a minimum of 10 years Oracle experience required. 

  • Experience with: SOA development using SOAP and REST; mobile application development and associated libraries. 

  • Proven track record of enterprise architecture experience with large volume, high availability enterprise applications. 

  • Experience with Microsoft .NET Technology Stack and Relational Database Design. 

  • Programming languages: Microsoft C#, iOS Swift, Kotlin, Microsoft T-SQL, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5. 

  • JavaScript Frameworks: Angular, Node, Vue, React  

  • Experience in interfacing with internal and external customers. 

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers: ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Healthcare experience in a large organization 

  • Experience with APIs, microservices, and data integration 

  • Knowledge of integration platforms (e.g., HL7, FHIR, API management tools) 

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure 

  • Understanding of database systems and data flow management 

  • Web development experience 

  • Strong understanding of system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization 

  • Knowledge in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
