We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Developer with a strong background in Business Intelligence to join our team. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of both software applications and BI solutions, ensuring high-quality performance, scalability, and security. You will guide a team of developers, and act as the technical authority for Power BI development, creating intuitive dashboards to drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of complex, scalable software systems and BI reporting solutions.
• BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
• Data Modeling & DAX: Create robust data models and complex Data Analysis Expression (DAX) measures to support analytical needs.
• Database & Integration: Explore large datasets, perform data modeling, and integrate Power BI with relational databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Mentorship & Quality Assurance: Mentor team members and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and data visualization.
• Governance & Security: Implement row-level security (RLS), manage workspace security, and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of specialized experience in Power BI development, including DAX and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Strong experience in data visualization best practices and data storytelling.
• Proven leadership experience (e.g., team lead, tech lead).

Preferred Qualifications

• AI (e.g. VS Code and Copilot)
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS).
• Experience with Python for data analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and data warehousing technologies.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service administration, including gateway configuration.
