Job Purpose: This position is responsible for the regionalization and new product development of centrifugal compressors, leading rotor dynamic analysis and design, component development, to deliver optimized design solutions with optimal performance, best cost, highest reliability and manufacturability.


Key Responsibilities

1.Rotor dynamics design & analysis

  • Responsible for rotor dynamics design & validation of centrifugal compressors.
  • Perform rotor dynamic evaluations including critical speed analysis, stability analysis, unbalance response, and vibration analysis.
  • Design and optimize rotor-bearing-seal systems to ensure stable and reliable operation
  • Develop analytical and simulation models to predict dynamic behavior under various operating conditions
  • Collaborate with structural, aerodynamic, and system engineers to achieve optimal product performance
  • Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of rotor dynamic issues in laboratory and field environments
  • Contribute to design guidelines, best practices, and technical standards related to rotor dynamics

2.Components Qualification

  • Conduct the development, verification, and technical issue solution for the components in rotor dynamics system.
  • Identify & mitigate potential risks by using DFMEA, simulation tools and functional tests.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing risk by adopting the PFMEA tool.

3. New Product Development

  • Lead technical reviews and prepare associated documentation.
  • Interact with functional teams to ensure the design checklist and guidelines have been followed and meet program schedule.

4.Maintain product and support improvement

  • Work with global engineering team for global product regionalization.
  • Provide technical solutions for continuous maintenance and improvement after product launch.

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Dynamics or other related areas
  • More than 7 years (MS) or 4 years (PhD) working experience in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.

Requirements and Attributes:

  • Proven technical knowledge of rotor dynamics theory and applications.
  • Knowledge of API standards.
  • Knowledge of bearings, seals and damping systems.
  • Proficient in rotor dynamic analysis tools and testing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to handle complex engineering problems and work in cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
