This is a hybrid role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.
What You'll Do:
- Manage cloud-based databases on AWS.
- Monitor database infrastructure for availability, reliability, and performance.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in real time.
- Design scalable data architectures aligned with business needs.
- Support ETL processes and data streaming (CDC) in AWS.
- Optimize database performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IL and US teams on daily operations.
- Work with DevOps, NOC, and R&D teams on procedures and workbooks.
- Perform routine maintenance (upgrades, user management, backups).
What We Look For:
- 5+ years of Expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL), Datawarehouse DBs and data lakes on AWS CLoud .
- Strong understanding of Data streaming and/or Change Data Capture (CDC) methodologies and implementation.
- Hands-on experience in observability tools such as Airflow, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and New Relic.
- Experience in scripting and automation using Python.
- Understanding Graph DBs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines, AWS Lambda, and Terraform (not must).
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across global teams.
