The role:

As a Lead Databased Administrator, you will help drive our goals by:

Own and drive technical roadmap for Johnson Matthey’s Database environments including the technology therein, such as SQL Server and Oracle database Compute, backup, restore, and disaster recovery capability.
Lead a team of Database Administrators ensuring process is followed and work is completed inline with published standards.
Responsible for embedding new tools and technologies throughout the database discipline.
Oversight of projects impacting the database area.
Focus on optimizing Johnson Matthey’s database estate, particular attention on increasing enterprise monitoring to ensure they are optimum/highly available for infrastructure and applications services.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

Strong understanding of database technologies (Microsoft SQL)
Experienced working within an I&O environment.
Experience with operating systems and server administration.
Relevant industry qualifications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Must have a proven track record of supporting a large complex estate
