Trains, leads and serves as a resource to other technicians. Supports pharmacy management by assisting in daily operational workflow and scheduling. Provides exemplary customer service to the long-term care facilities we serve.

Essential job functions (include the following):
Consistently perform all activities and duties of Data Entry Pharmacy Technician II at above standard performance levels.

• Ensure customer service standards are met for facilities and patients we service
Train, lead, and schedule Data Entry Technician staff to ensure adequate coverage for workflow

• Work with Data Entry Supervisor/Management to evaluate workflow processes and help implement changes as necessary to meet deadlines for input

• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently

• Prioritize and assign workflow to each Data Entry Technician. Monitor both productivity and accuracy

• Ensure Data Entry Technicians are fully trained on the operating system within established time period

• Serve as subject matter expert and departmental resource in Pharmacy operating systems and workflow.

• In coordination with Management, provide input on performance evaluations.

• Consistently exceed pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.

• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements)

• National Certification required (PTCB)
Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of related experience including at least 1 year as a Data Entry Technician II
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience required

• Basic knowledge of adjudicating a claim

• Knowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications and Sig codes
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and work with DOO when something appears inaccurate
Work Environment:
• Ability to work flexible hours
