The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Lead Data Engineer supporting the SABRE program at Hanscom AFB, MA. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement. This position requires an active DoD Secret security clearance.

As the Lead Data Engineer, you'll develop pipelines, structure datasets, and optimize data strategies to support real-time USAF mission operations. Responsibilities Include:
Apply agile and DevSecOps methodologies to Enterprise Data Management for both batch and streaming services
Conduct Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessments related to Enterprise Data Management, ensuring compliance and security best practices
Support Enterprise Information Management services, including metadata management, data tagging, and data cataloging
Design, implement, and optimize data pipeline services tailored to mission needs and objectives
Develop and maintain security information infrastructure, platforms, and software to support secure and efficient data management
Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and confidentiality
Utilize automation and modern data engineering tools to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and storage
Ensure adherence to DoD data security standards and best practices in handling mission-critical data
Clearance Required:
This position requires an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
BS degree and 8 or more years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
4+ years of experience working with real-time and batched scalable enterprise data architecture processes and Enterprise Information Management technologies.
Hands-on data engineering experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
Experience integrating enterprise data solutions with access control services for secure data governance.
Strong knowledge of agile and DevSecOps methodologies as they apply to Enterprise Data Management.
Experience conducting Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessments for data management environments.
Ability to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines to support both batch and streaming data services.
Proficiency in metadata management, data tagging, data cataloging, and data governance frameworks.
Strong understanding of security info infrastructure, platforms, and software to ensure secure and efficient data operations.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
2+ years of experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
Apache Spark or Hadoop Big Data Certifications
Experience implementing enterprise data lakes for DoD/USAF environments
Knowledge of ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) integration

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
