CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our talented Information Technology team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.
In this position you should have the following; This role leads collaboration with a team of data engineers and other internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive data solutions. They are responsible for creating new data patterns, establishing best practices, and setting standards for managing extensive data collections. They leverage a broad spectrum of data technologies to enable data insights, analytics, and actionable triggers and solutions, ensuring that the data architecture supports the firm's objectives and innovation strategies. They play a crucial role in guiding the team towards achieving efficiency and effectiveness in data management and analytics.
How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior Data Engineer role:
Pipeline Architecture Leadership: Oversee the design and construction of data pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability. Provide specialized guidance and serve as the escalation point for Data Engineers encountering complex data-related issues. Approve ongoing maintenance, modifications, and peer reviews throughout the development lifecycle. Guarantee the effectiveness of operational monitoring and pipeline maintenance.
Data Solutions Strategy: Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers and Data Analytics members to evaluate and enhance existing software programs and technology processes for optimal performance. Act as the primary escalation point for resolving software challenges. Drive the team in collecting and analyzing data for business initiatives, as well as mapping out the
associated processes and data flows.
Design Supervision: Utilize established frameworks to design and develop software systems as per the requests of internal teams and client needs. Spearhead the creation of reports and data
extractions, fulfilling the requirements of various teams within the firm and for client projects.
Innovation and Technology Advancement: Champion the adoption of new technologies within the firm, crafting roadmaps and devising tools to facilitate and monitor their effective usage. Lead the implementation process, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with the firm's strategic goals.
Mentorship/Training: May act as Peer Advisor and/or Career Coach to assist other family members in growing their inspired careers. Delegates and reviews the daily work of associates and seniors on the Data Engineering team.
What you will need:
6 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience with data analytics tools required.
- Experience in design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations required.
Education
Bachelor's degree is required Master’s degree preferred. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
Proficiency in programming software, such as R, Python, Scala, Java, and SQL required.
