We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design and build a next-generation Risk & Entity Intelligence Platform. The ideal candidate will lead the development of scalable data pipelines, entity resolution systems, graph databases, and risk intelligence solutions while mentoring a team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role involving architecture, development, and technical decision-making.
Requirements
Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- At least 2 years of experience with compliance, KYC/AML, risk intelligence, or sanctions screening platforms
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud data infrastructure
- Hands-on experience building scalable ETL and data ingestion pipelines
- Expertise with entity resolution or record linkage tools such as Splink, Dedupe, Senzing, or Zingg
- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, Memgraph, or TigerGraph
- Strong understanding of APIs, web scraping, and large-scale data acquisition
- Leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with sanctions, watchlists, PEP data, corporate registry data, beneficial ownership data, or adverse media datasets
- Exposure to NLP/ML, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and multilingual data processing
- Familiarity with FollowTheMoney, OpenSanctions/yente, OpenCorporates, Sayari, or Moody's Grid ecosystems
