Job Role and Responsibility:
Act in a technical role as an individual contributor and assist in designing solutions for complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Apply a thorough understanding of available technologies, tools, and existing design frameworks to engineering tasks. Work on complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variance factors through data and situational analysis. Lead multiple complex modeling and analysis efforts across various business domains. Serves as an expert technical resource to data Engineering staff during the design, testing, and implementation phases. Contribute as a key participant in large scale software planning initiatives within the Technology organization. Design data services that support Strategic Enterprise Risk Management and build high-performing, scalable data pipeline platforms using Hadoop, Ab Initio, EXADATA, and cloud-based solutions. Perform data analysis and modeling tasks within a data warehouse environment to support business intelligence and reporting needs. Execute SQL queries to analyze data and troubleshoot technical issues. Identify issues in data and applications and collaborate with engineering and product leadership to design effective solutions. Make informed decisions in multi-faceted data engineering scenarios requiring deep understanding of technology, data structures, and relationships. Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve high-risk data engineering challenges. Maintain and manage data architecture for multiple applications using established software architecture design principles. Perform scoping activities, gather technical and business requirements, and lead design efforts across all assigned projects. Create data models and design data structures to enable seamless integration across various applications and platforms. Participate in researching and resolving production issues to ensure system stability and data integrity. Engage throughout the entire project lifecycle-from requirements gathering to production implementation-with a strong focus on technical requirements and database design. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

Required Qualifications:
Degree required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Amount and type of experience required: 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience.
Specific skills required:
• Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines using technologies such as Hadoop, Ab Initio, EXADATA, and cloud platforms; • Proven ability to perform complex data modeling and analysis within a data warehouse environment; • Strong experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting; • Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks and big data tools to manage large-scale data processing; • Experience implementing data services and platforms in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP); Ability to design data services that support Strategic Enterprise Risk Management functions; Demonstrated ability to make decisions in multi-faceted data engineering scenarios involving complex data relationships; • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and internal business teams to resolve high-risk data challenges; • Proven track record of leading multiple modeling and analysis efforts with broad impact across the organization; • Ability to act as a technical resource and mentor to other data engineering staff during design, testing, and implementation phases.
