Lead Data Analytics

Clarivate is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team within the Product Operations organization. This is an opportunity to work on our customer usage analytics to collaborate with various stakeholders from different departments and oversee and optimize the operations of the product team, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration, high-quality product launches, and continuous improvement of processes. You will contribute to product operations’ efficiency and enhancements by focusing on process improvements, delivering the highest quality data, and identifying operational inefficiencies. 

About You:  Experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
• At least 7 Years of Relevant Experience  

• Proficient with BI tools: Experienced in using business intelligence tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights. 

• Proficient with product analytics and user engagement platforms: Skilled in using software tools like Pendo or similar platforms to understand and improve customer experiences in digital products. 

• Proficient with SQL and PostgreSQL: Strong expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data analysis, particularly in PostgreSQL databases. 

• Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis, and in PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations. 

• Strong communication & analytical skills 
• Proficient level of English language (B2/C1) 

It would be great if you also had the following.

• Knowledge of or prior experience with subscription-based businesses 
• Pendo experience at least 3 years

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Manage product data and perform updates to ensure operational accuracy and data integrity. 

• Analyze data to support decisions regarding product migrations and retirement of outdated product features. 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales and product managers to monitor and track product delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals. 

• Provide feedback on how new products are received by sales and customer support teams. 

• Manage risks and issues, recommending solutions when problems arise. 

• Report progress and status to leadership teams as required. 

• Turn raw customer usage data into insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports. Obsessively study customer usage data to proactively identify opportunities for driving higher usage, product improvements, new business, increased retention, and price increases. 

• Investigate and tackle unstructured problems and hypotheses and answer them with analyses that tell a story focused on insights and recommendations, not just data. 

• Oversee a modernization in the existing usage systems by working with technology and product to transition from a passive monitoring infrastructure to an app logging infrastructure, enabling more granular usage metrics to be delivered 

About the Team   

         This globally distributed team has 5 members from different locations like Bangalore, Belgrade and Paris. The team works closely with data analysts to interpret data and generate actionable insights, data engineers to integrate and manage data from multiple sources and partners with the product team to align data strategies with product goals.
