Lalamove’s Analytics team is the engine behind our real-time, data-driven marketplace. We don’t just measure performance; we build the quantitative foundation that enables a highly efficient, liquid, and competitive on-demand logistics ecosystem.
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive professional to drive pricing analysis, execution, and marketplace optimization. In this role, you will partner with the Platform Growth function and cross-functional stakeholders to implement optimal, competitive, and profitable pricing. You will leverage advanced analytics to solve complex marketplace challenges and help us win in the market.
What we seek:
- Drive Competitive Intelligence & Pricing Strategy: Manage the monitoring and benchmarking of competitor pricing activity. Translate raw market data into data-backed pricing recommendations and actions.
- Implement Pricing Execution: Drive the rollout of surcharge structures, surge pricing, promotional incentives, and dynamic pricing models to balance marketplace liquidity, driver supply, and customer affordability.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze complex datasets to model price elasticity, identify demand patterns, and spot competitive gaps. Recommend and execute pricing adjustments to optimize both volume and yield.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment: Deliver rigorous reporting and actionable insights to management. Define key marketplace metrics and help build narratives that guide regional and global strategies.
- Process Optimization: Identify structural gaps and automation opportunities within existing markets. Evolve and improve current pricing logic to keep pace with a rapidly changing competitive landscape.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 4 years of solid experience in data analytics in pricing, revenue management, or marketplace optimization.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills, alongside expert proficiency in Excel. Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is required.
- Solid understanding of multiple-sided marketplace dynamics, including surge pricing, incentive optimization, and price sensitivity.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly as the business scales and competitive dynamics shift.
- Proven experience managing complex data projects and the ability to effectively communicate and partner with mid-to-senior stakeholders across functions.
