As a Lead Credit Portfolio Consultant with a focus on Data Quality, Governance, and Business System Liaison Support, you will play a key role in both data stewardship and system support for Commercial Banking. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and fit-for-purpose of data across lending systems of origin and systems of record - critical for risk management, reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will also act as a liaison to Application Business Owners (business-side stakeholders responsible for key systems) to support enhancements, system changes, and the accurate reflection of business processes within those systems
In this role, you will:
- Perform as a Data Steward ensuring data quality, compliance, and governance for Commercial Banking data processes across lending systems of origin and systems of record.
- Collaborate with Application Business Owners (business-side system owners) to support system changes, updates, and enhancements to ensure they align with credit, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring processes.
- Participate in system conversion initiatives and user acceptance testing (UAT) to help validate business needs are met before deployment.
- Collaborate and support the validation of data element mappings, valid values, and credit policy related changes that impact data.
- Help assess and document the downstream impact of system changes on reporting and analytics.
- Support the development and maintenance of data source dictionaries and desktop procedures; review the treatment and fit for purpose use of data elements across multiple systems.
- Participate in internal and external testing initiatives, including validation of system-to-system interfaces and cross-system data treatment.
- Support downstream reporting impact analysis and assist in the documentation of reporting and control changes resulting from source system updates
- Partner with Application Business Owners, business teams, and downstream data consumers to ensure data consumed for internal and external reporting meets requisite data quality dimensions and fit for purpose requirements.
- Design and conduct data monitoring testing, routines and analysis; research and resolve data deficiencies; represent the business in data initiatives and projects; review and enhance controls and control activities; consult on process changes and procedures to support data quality enhancements; drive standardization of data element interpretation and source document usage; respond to audit requests; and create visibility and transparency to data usage and downstream consumption.
- Manage or support comprehensive activities to fulfill commitments to resolve data deficiencies. These activities may include providing data and resource support for assessment and resolution activities, including complete root cause analysis to drive disposition and remediation decisions and the dispositioning of data deficiencies and remediation fulfilment.
- Collaborate daily with the Application Business Owner, reporting teams, other technology partners, and coverage and product teams across Commercial Banking.
- 5+ years of Credit Consulting Portfolio experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Data Management and Data Governance experience
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking data, particularly across lending systems of origination and systems of record.
- Knowledge of risk and regulatory reporting frameworks and requirements.
- Proven experience performing complex data analysis and translating findings into actionable remediation strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of data quality principles, data integrity management, and industry best practices.
- Experience implementing or managing data quality rules and standards.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering with Application Business Owners, data warehouse teams, and business process and data control owners.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance strategies and their impact on operational and reporting data quality.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present findings, influence stakeholders, and advocate for data-driven decision making.
- While SQL knowledge is not required for this role, familiarity with querying or interpreting data through SQL is helpful and may support success in the role.

Pay Range:
Minneapolis - Minnesota Pay Range: $131,100 - $206,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
