Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Creative & Content Designer. The Lead Creative & Content Designer is a senior individual contributor position within the Global Talent Attraction and Marketing team. This role is suited for a designer with hands-on experience, strong instincts for art direction, creative campaign thinking, and a commitment to producing high standards of craft. The position is design-led and execution-focused, offering end-to-end ownership of creative quality and content production for global talent marketing and advertising campaigns.
Although the role does not include formal people management responsibilities, it requires providing informal design guidance and feedback to junior creatives. Collaboration across functions is key, as the designer will help shape and deliver campaigns that meet brand and design standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience from a global creative agency or a robust in-house brand or marketing team, with an understanding of complete campaign processes. They should excel at translating strategy and messaging into visually compelling creative, blending artistic vision with marketing strategy to engage target audiences and encourage action.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives tied to the development and design of artwork and marketing materials, and act as a key participant to enhance product or company brand images within marketing functional area
- Create and set direction for complex large-scale projects or project teams by providing initial creative design from conception to delivery and initiate new concepts
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted business challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Advance the creation of graphic design and design systems to be leveraged across many channels internally and externally
- Create visual content that is optimized for all platforms and channels and in alignment with best practices
- Drive various projects with the support of team leadership and provide recommendations for project execution, offer alternatives, and creative solutions
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; work with vendors and external sources to set service level agreements and project timelines
- Serve as a peer mentor
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of brand usage and standards that influence and lead broader work team to meet marketing deliverables and drive new initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Graphic Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a graduate of a bachelor's degree or higher
- A strong portfolio demonstrating previous design work, campaign concepts, and creative examples across different channels and formats
- Comprehensive understanding of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and visual systems, with a consistent record of strong design craft and execution using Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), including light video editing and production; familiarity with generative AI or AI-assisted creative workflows using enterprise-approved tools is a plus
- Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor with minimal supervision, effectively managing multiple projects and collaborating with stakeholders across regions in a matrixed organization
- Strategic and user-centered mindset, connecting creative decisions to campaign goals and audience impact, with an understanding of UX design principles and user empathy
- Strong communication, written, verbal, and presentation skills for pitching concepts, articulating design rationale, collaborating with stakeholders, and receiving feedback constructively
- Self-motivated team player capable of producing original ideas and providing informal mentorship through design critique and feedback
- Background in global creative or advertising agencies, and experience supporting employer branding or talent marketing initiatives is preferred
- Comfort working on integrated, multi-channel campaigns and utilizing project management and collaboration platforms to facilitate teamwork and campaign delivery
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, iterative, and ambiguous environments with evolving requirements, balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
Job Expectations:
- Design and deliver high-quality creative assets for digital and print channels, including social media, web, email, presentations, flyers, posters, brochures, campaign toolkits, paid media, and advertising using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as the primary toolset, and contributing to video and motion-based content through light editing and production
- Oversee visual execution and production for talent marketing campaigns, ensuring effective storytelling, consistency, brand alignment, and audience-focused content across all channels
- Apply sound art direction to layout, typography, hierarchy, color, and visual systems, evolving creative as needed to support campaign goals and adapt to emerging trends and media formats
- Ensure all visual and written content meets brand standards, voice, compliance, regulatory requirements, and aligns with overall talent marketing strategy
- Utilize data, performance insights, and user feedback to inform creative decisions and optimize content engagement and conversion
- Collaborate closely with talent acquisition, marketing, brand, creative, and cross-functional stakeholders, including project management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Asana, Slack, Microsoft Teams) to translate briefs and objectives into strong visual solutions and deliver campaigns on time and to quality standards
- Create mockups and prototypes to visualize, test, and refine creative concepts for the candidate experience, constructively receiving feedback and revising work based on internal team or stakeholder input
- Maintain high creative standards while balancing speed, quality, and business needs in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and communicating progress proactively
- Provide informal mentorship and constructive feedback to junior designers, supporting their development within a dynamic, global team
- Participate in in-office collaboration sessions, reviews, and key meetings in Taguig City, working a late mid-shift schedule to overlap with US-based stakeholders and operating in a hybrid work model as needed
- Stay up to date with design trends, emerging media formats, advertising best practices, and generative AI or AI-assisted creative workflows (such as Copilot Chat) as part of modern creative processes
- Participate in in-office collaboration sessions, reviews, and key meetings in Taguig City, working a late mid-shift schedule to overlap with US-based stakeholders
Operate in a hybrid work model, balancing onsite collaboration at the Wells Fargo Taguig City office with remote work as business needs require
