Job Purpose: The BEx Process Assurance and Operational Excellence Lead is responsible for driving the adoption and execution of process assurance and operational excellence solutions across the organization. This role focuses on ensuring the business optimizes its processes and reduces inefficiencies through solutions like CWS, SPS, and BPR. The BEx Process Assurance and Operational Excellence Lead will track performance metrics, standardize processes, and implement best practices that improve quality, compliance, and overall business performance. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure that the organization is continuously improving, achieving operational goals, and reducing risks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

BEx Process Assurance and Operational Excellence Lead

Process Improvement & Digital Transformation:

Lead continuous process improvement through Challenges Worth Solving (CWS), Structured Problem Solving (SPS), and BPR initiatives.

Enhance automation, reduce manual errors, and improve operational efficiency by implementing digital transformation strategies.

Streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve interdepartmental efficiency by leading cross-functional projects.

Performance Metrics & Reporting:

Ensure measurable improvements by defining and tracking performance metrics aligned with business objectives.

Drive performance improvements and support business goals by implementing and regularly updating the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for BUs.

Process Governance & Standardization:

Improve process consistency and quality by developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with ISO and quality standards, driving best practices in process governance.

Training & Capability Building:

Enhance process knowledge and operational skills across teams by leading training initiatives.

Support ongoing operational excellence by establishing the Adani Business Excellence Academy (ABEA) and a process assurance mechanism.

Institutionalise the Adani Business Excellence Academy:

Create a Virtual organisation Adani Business Excellence Academy which would be responsible for promoting the Business Excellence Roadmap across all BUs through ensuring focussed training & development, monitoring of the Business Excellence activities & their KPIs, promotion of BE roadmap through communication and appropriate R&R

Responsibilities

1. Conduct Business Excellence Maturity Assessments
   • Liaise with Business Excellence Heads/ SPOCs in various BUs to conduct self-assessment based on Business Excellence Maturity Assessment toolkit.
   • Coordinate and organize the on-site assessment of BUs which have undertaken self-assessment through external assessment partner.
   • Coordinate and facilitate the completion of BEx Maturity assessment report with external assessment partner
   • Review the BEx Maturity assessment report and get it approved with senior BE leaders and handing over to the respective BU CEO
   • Organization of action planning workshop in the respective BU through external assessment partner.
   • Track and coordinate with respective BU BEx Heads to ensure timely closure of action items, drive them to logical conclusions, and monitor the realization of intended business benefits and impact.
2. Identification, Capability building and certification of BU-wise Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) 
   • Liaise with Business Excellence Heads/SPOCs in various BUs to identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in each of their key functions.
   • Coordinate with external training partners and certification bodies to deliver capability-building certification programs to develop and certify SMEs in alignment to their business needs.
   • Manage end-to-end logistics, nominations, attendance, assessments, certifications, and program effectiveness reviews of these training programs.

   • Review, monitor and track progress of improvement projects undertaken by training participants/SMEs, ensuring timely completion and benefit realization.

     
     
3. Utilization of SMEs to undertake L&D sessions for organization development
   • Enable and guide SMEs to further conduct training and improvement initiatives within their businesses/functions, ensuring effective deployment of methodologies such as QC Tools, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and process Management, and monitoring the resulting business impact and benefits realization.
   • Develop a strong network of such SMEs capable of independently conducting training and driving improvement initiatives within their functions and businesses.

Skills and Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
  • Project & Program management skills
