Position Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead of Content Strategy to oversee the strategic planning of our seasonal campaigns and execution of our content initiatives across various channels. This role involves leading a team of Content Planners and collaborating closely with marketing leadership across various teams to drive business growth through effective content strategies. The Lead of Content Strategy will be responsible for collaborating in the development of strategies, communicating plans through our commercial planning process, and briefing creative partners on content to support the plans. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, strategic vision, proactive mentality and the ability to work collaboratively with partners across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that support key business initiatives and drive growth.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage insights and analytics to build plans, inform the development of new content, and optimize existing content.
- Leadership and Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Content Planners, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective execution of content plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including customer insights, marketing programs, merchandising, and creative teams, to gather information and inform planning.
- Creative Brief Development: Create detailed content strategy briefs and kick off content efforts with Creative teams, ensuring alignment with strategic direction.
Qualifications:
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate content marketing opportunities within the digital environment and a progressive multi-channel corporate perspective
- Ability to process in-depth site analysis and make strategic recommendations for improvement
- Strong experience with analytics tools, particularly Omniture
- Ability to think strategically and oversee complex processes
- Highly organized and proactive in finding (sometimes creative) solutions to issues
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects and complex processes
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and diplomatically to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to negotiate with ease and to affect desired results
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing business environment
- Ability to manage and motivate
