Role Overview

We are seeking a Content Lead to join our in-office team in Bangalore on a permanent basis. In this role, you will manage a team of content curators, harness AI-driven solutions to scale our content, and work closely with our product and design teams to optimize user engagement across multiple geographies. What you will be doing?

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of content curators to ensure alignment with 1Weather’s strategic goals.
  • Set performance benchmarks and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

AI-Driven Content Strategy

  • Identify and integrate AI tools and technologies to produce weather and climate-related content at scale.
  • Collaborate with data science teams to develop content frameworks and automated workflows for multi-region distribution.

Content Production & Distribution

  • Oversee the creation and curation of diverse content formats (text, images, infographics, video) tailored to audience preferences in the US, LATAM, India, Indonesia, and Japan.
  • Ensure content is accurate, timely, and engaging, reflecting brand voice and global cultural nuances.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design and product teams to advocate for data-driven content, aligning it with the user experience roadmap.
  • Provide insights on content performance to influence feature enhancements and app improvements.

User Engagement & Analytics

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly track metrics such as user engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Analyze content performance across geographies, using insights to refine strategy and improve reach.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, local regulations, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Maintain high editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevancy.


What are we looking for?

Experience & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in content management, social media strategy, or editorial leadership, ideally within a digital or media environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and scaling content teams.

Technical & AI Knowledge

  • Proven track record of leveraging AI/ML tools or platforms to automate and enhance content production.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights platforms, etc.).

Communication & Leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills (especially relevant to 1Weather’s global footprint) are a plus.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.

Creative Problem-Solving

  • Ability to think strategically about content’s role in user engagement and retention.
  • Proven ability to innovate and iterate on content formats to keep pace with evolving user expectations.

In-Office & Team Collaboration

  • Willingness to work full-time from our Bangalore office.
  • Experience collaborating with design and product teams on feature enhancements and user interface improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in data journalism, environmental science, or weather-related content.
  • Experience managing large-scale content for diverse geographical markets.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they apply to content distribution at scale.
  • Understanding of product-driven growth strategies and user-centric design principles.
