Lead, Consumer Insights - AFH at a glance...
The Lead, Consumer Insights for Away from Home is a strategic thought partner, leveraging their understanding of the consumer, operators/away from home clients, and insights to find new opportunities to drive the business forward. The Lead is responsible for identifying, developing and integrating operator and patron insights utilizing syndicated and custom tools to provide a competitive advantage to the marketplace. The role will have responsibility to work directly with operators/owners/buyers in top strategic partnership meetings and on key business initiatives, acting with data and insights, putting the operator and patron first. The Lead will elevate KHC insights expertise externally by showcasing our competitive advantage versus competitors in the industry and with customers. The Lead will influence and collaborate with Marketing, R&D, New Business Development, Culinary and Sales to ensure we are delivering strategic insights, building on and in support of operator strategies. The Lead will drive to the "so-what's" by making actionable recommendations routed in deep understanding of marketing, business, channels, operators and patrons.
What's on the menu?

  • Hold a deep understanding of the AFH channels and verticals trends and challenges facing the industry, as well as key consumer trends that will drive our business and strategy into the future
  • Unearth genuine operator and patron insights/pain points across the Away from Home portfolio that can help improve our equity & innovation efforts
  • Provides insight and perspective, grounded in data, to influence cross-functional senior management decisions on complex business issues in support of strategy
  • Develop insights through advanced analytics utilizing multiple tools (syndicated data, customer sales data, internal proprietary data, etc.)
  • Delivers synthesis of data and resulting business guidance/identification of new opportunities via reports and presentations to the business, share accountability for the outcome of organizational actions taken based on recommendations made.
  • Take insights & develop them into a sell story; inclusive of broad brand stories, innovation pipeline and strategic plans
  • Develop and lead holistic, comprehensive learning plans across foundational and custom operator and patron understanding, building strategic studies in all plans and improving learning efficiencies reflective of company's priorities. Proactively identifies scaled projects to create impact across brands, categories and channels.
  • Contributes to building the strategic vision of the brand with cross functional partners such as Marketing, R&D, Finance and Sales.
  • Responsible for training, developing, motivating and managing the work and career planning process for a direct report. Develop direct report's technical research analysis skills and provide support of adoption of research implications by direct report.
  • Proactively collaborate with other CIS leadership to identify and take advantage of sources of knowledge and knowledge gaps
