Role Summary
The role is focused on developing customized participant education communications on T. Rowe Price’s products, services, and client features. The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the U.S. participant DCIO communications offer, ensuring that participant resources are delivered effectively and coordinated seamlessly across various business units. Additionally, the role acts as a consultant for member education needs outside of the U.S. This role reports directly to the head of Global Retirement Marketing and is a key part of our participant education offer, supporting retirement education initiatives. The Global Retirement Marketing team plays a vital role in building our brand around the firm's retirement capabilities, working closely with segment marketing on retirement thought leadership and go-to-market activities.
The scope of the projects managed by this role is typically US-based, but increasingly consultative to our growing retirement business outside of the US. The position is accountable for overall client satisfaction, retention, and ongoing development within the realms of client marketing and communication. There may also be supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a small team of 1-3 KM associates. A core aspect of the role is deepening client relationships by understanding their unique needs and providing relevant, differentiated communication solutions.
Responsibilities
Accountable for the overall client communications and participant experience for an assigned group of our largest plans or for an assigned list of client firms. Focus is on ensuring satisfaction with the client experience with a goal of client retention. Partners with relationship managers to understand needs of each client and demonstrates a strong understanding of client needs, plan health, and overall plan- or client-level data to influence solutions adopt proposed strategies.
Develops and leads a customized participant communications engagement strategy with our largest clients that is clear, consistent, and educational and drives action in line with the client's business goals. Oversees the plan throughout the project and adjusts accordingly based on client feedback and timing.
Leads communications presentations to client boards or investment committees. Utilizes client firm or plan and participant data to complete data analytics and develops needs assessments and then translate trends into strategies and solutions that are aligned with the client’s business goals through custom segmentation. Strategies are tailored to the needs of the client and demonstrate both a creative and innovative approach, as well as alignment with T. Rowe Price best practices with a goal of strengthening participant engagement.
Leads the execution of the strategy through the management of specific projects and vendors to support the needs of assigned clients. This includes working with internal and external contacts and partners (creative resources, participant experience team, social media vendor) to project manage the work and ensure the execution is in line with the plan laid out. May result in influencing the prioritization of shared resources. Presents custom concepts and strategies to the client and engages in an iterative review process to finalize campaign materials.
Manages a library of participant education (~50 pieces of content) within a scalable solution to offer T. Rowe Branded and custom solutions for print and digital education to supplement the recordkeeper’s participant experience.
Leads the Target Date Marketing (B2B) Planning and Metrics, and coordinates across Retirement Plan Services, US Intermediaries and US and Canada Institutional and Japan Target Date marketing teams to ensure consistency in messaging and positioning
Works with senior leadership within the firm and client organization to obtain appropriate support for new solutions and plans as appropriate.
May require client travel for sales finals meetings and/or client meetings.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
8+ years of total marketing experience or financial literacy education
Preferred:
Experience with Target Date solutions
Deep familiarity with modern marketing technology and data practices
Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and partners.

Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$101,000.00 - $173,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$111,000.00 - $190,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$124,000.00 - $212,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
