Purpose

This position is the primary responsible for WMS, YMS and other Supply chain solutions design, configuration and implementation. Supporting F&D DC’s and design enhancements, this position will work closely with internal and external business and technical resources to support delivering a top quality system for DC’s & other F&D facilities. Keys to success include: providing functional choices to meet business needs, leading successful system implementations and displaying strong technical and communications skills.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, or Consulting/Services industry with a focus on execution of solution in the retail and distribution industry, or a combination
  • 3+ years of hands-on WMS, YMS design and implementation experience
  • WMS work flow solution knowledge featuring multi-channel order management, integration with logistics systems to support ship to site, ship to store, returns management and claims
  • Extensive system and architecture knowledge of the WMS, YMS and its functionality for integration with ERP systems, and inventory management systems
  • Proven problem-solving and team building skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the lead on WMS & YMS design, development, configuration changes, modification, tuning the functional rules for optimized sales and implementation
  • Responsible for delivering WMS & YMS business functionality by working closely with enterprise systems, integration & TMS SME’s, ERP and corporate system developers and infrastructure team members
  • Design, develop, and implement highest-quality software application solutions using application modules and work closely with the business (Distribution and Merchandising) to understand functional needs
  • Participate in projects and provide cross-functional IT application support coordination on issues & design planning and integration across systems
  • Participate in technical & functional design. Make recommendations that improve efficiency, minimize cost and support future business growth plans
  • Help analyze, troubleshoot, and tune and integrate with YMS, TMS and WMS. Work closely with Infrastructure team to solve performance and production issues and provide permanent solutions
  • Manage integration challenges between enterprise systems and other external applications
  • Support and enhance the rules and configuration set up currently in the Distribution and reporting Space
  • Be available to support F&D Distribution centers and consult on integration points after hours as necessary 

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty  

             hours in a week

  • Limited travel may be required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse   

             environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to    

             moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Skills Required

  • Experience designing, developing, configuring, and tuning WMS/YMS functional rules
  • Experience managing integrations between enterprise systems, TMS, ERP and external applications
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven problem-solving, team-building, customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and support distribution centers (including after-hours as necessary)
