HubSpot is looking for a Lead Compensation Analyst to join our Compensation team. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in statutory pay reporting and compensation systems, playing a critical role in how we gather market data, maintain pay equity, and ensure compliance with evolving global pay transparency requirements. The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, deeply knowledgeable in US and international pay reporting regulations, including the EU Pay Transparency Directive, and comfortable operating across multiple compensation platforms.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end process for all statutory pay reporting obligations in the US and internationally, ensuring accuracy, timelines, and full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Serve as HubSpot's internal expert on the EU Pay Transparency Directive, monitoring regulatory developments and translating requirements into actionable compensation processes and policies.
- Lead and manage annual and ad-hoc salary survey submissions across providers including Radford and Comptryx, ensuring data integrity and appropriate job matching.
- Act as the primary Compensation Systems SME, mainly for Pave, Compa, Comptryx, Radford, and Workday, maintaining system integrity, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with HRIS on enhancements and implementations.
- Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance teams to ensure pay reporting deliverables meet country-specific statutory requirements across all regions where HubSpot operates.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and equity concerns, providing recommendations to leadership.
- Support the design, documentation, and maintenance of compensation policies and standard operating procedures related to pay reporting and system administration.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners and Total Rewards stakeholders to educate and advise on pay transparency requirements and their implications for workforce decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into compensation data, pay equity metrics, and survey benchmarking results.
- Monitor the competitive landscape for changes to pay reporting mandates, proactively identifying compliance gaps and recommending process or policy updates.
- Deep knowledge of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and its implications for compensation program design, reporting, and disclosure.
- Strong understanding of US and international statutory pay reporting requirements, including pay equity and gender pay gap reporting obligations.
- Hands-on experience with compensation systems and survey tools; proficiency with Pave, Compa, Comptryx, Radford, and Workday strongly preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets, build models, and draw meaningful conclusions from complex compensation data.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and process compliance.
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines across concurrent reporting cycles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal direction.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred but not required.

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
