Summary of Position: The Lead Communications Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all internal and external communications functions of the church.
Purpose: To oversee, lead, and protect the communication of the mission, vision, story, and brand of all Faithbridge and all affiliated ministries with the goal of making more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ who make more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bring awareness to Faithbridge Ministries and personal life-change via all mediums to advance the mission of the church.
- Lead and manage a team of creative professionals to coordinate the communication of multiple ministries under the umbrella of a global, church-wide, unique brand identity.
- Champion and steward the Faithbridge brand and voice and ensure alignment across all Faithbridge Ministries.
- Lead and assist in the creation of digital, video, audio, and print content.
- Prepare and administer the budget for the Communications Ministry and the Event Ministry.
- Attend weekly Design Team and Lead Team meetings. Communicate and execute decisions made in those meetings throughout all related areas of the church.
- Manage media relationships and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.
- Advise Ministries by ideating creative solutions that leverage the most effective communication channels for their audience and goals.
- Help the Worship Pastor plan the weekly service, specifically owning the area of announcements.
- Oversee streaming services for Sundays, memorials, and any additional services.
- Manage the Faithbridge website, app, and associated plug-ins and lead in any website or app re-design, including interviewing and selecting a developer, and soliciting and incorporating Ministry feedback.
- Develop copy for sermon series, church initiatives, and new projects and ministries that align with the Faithbridge voice.
- Lead the Events Team in planning and producing large, church-wide events.
- Attend strategy meetings specific to calendaring and concept development of Events.
- Advise the Events Coordinators on all aspects of the look and feel of an event.
- Communicate internally to staff, keeping them up to date on coming events and on the same page for large, church-wide events.
- Leverage the Advertising budget to the greatest benefit of Faithbridge, maintaining a positive and visible presence in the community.
- Oversee the video, print, digital, décor, and food support for every on-campus event, including funerals, memorials, and weddings.
- Lead the planning for all Sunday church-wide events (Back-to-school, Ministry Expo, Super Sunday, Lent, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Candypalooza, and Christmas).
- Ensure coordination between the Events Team and the Comms Team on the look for all Sunday events.
- Ensure that all events receive adequate food and décor support
- Ensure the upkeep of various digital platforms, including Bright Signs, Watchfire, Dropbox, Apple Developer, Subsplash, Church Online, Lucid Link, and any others determined by the Pastor of Worship & Communications

Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Communications Director or similar role.
- Understand principles of copywriting, graphic design, layout and publishing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing.
- Proficiency in narrative storytelling and impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
- Strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Have a friendly, engaging demeanor while working under deadline driven pressures.
- Be biblically sound and exhibit conduct that reflects positively on the integrity of the church.
- Have exceptional discernment and sound judgment in making decisions on behalf of the church.
- Able to converse and connect with a wide variety of people of different ages, stages, and backgrounds.
- Independent initiative and creative problem-solving skills

Organization Relationship:
This position is directly accountable to the Executive Pastor of Worship and Communication. This position will have contact with church attendees, paid staff, and volunteers.
Working Conditions:
This is a salary and full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week) and is a Sunday-Thursday schedule Working Sundays are required as well as Church-wide events at Christmas Eve, Super Bowl Sunday, Easter, Back to School Sunday and any other holidays as required by supervisor.
