About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist in
Capital Finance as a part of Wholesale Lending Operations Division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
In this role, you will:
- Complete pre-close and post-close documents for the most complex commercial loans
- Coordinate loan closings, perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
- Research complex business and operational decisions
- Review and prepare loan related documents
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance and training to peers and may have limited supervisory responsibilities
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- 5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Law preferred.
- Paralegal and/or finance experience
- Experience with Asset Based Lending.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Deposit Account Control Agreements (DACAs) and cash management systems.
- Profi cient in reading and understanding complex loan documentation
- Commercial Insurance knowledge
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
- Facilitate the closing and funding of new loan transactions including participations and loan restructures.
- Serve as a liaison to business divisions, underwriters, prospective clients, insurance brokers, attorneys, banks, letter of credit contacts and cash management contacts.
- Organize legal documents, internal documents and post-closing items.
- Coordinate funding logistics for new financings, participations and complex restructures.
- Review cash management arrangements; modify cash management structures, including preparation and negotiation of cash management agreements and set-up of accounts.
- Collect, review and negotiate acceptable insurance certificates and endorsements.
- Facilitate the issuance of letters of credit.
