We are looking for someone who is passionate about working hands-on with both internal and external teams to deliver impactful Fleet and Scale software solutions that are critical to Data Center customers. You will be part of a team responsible for developing Customer Fleet and Scale capabilities that enable high-quality Intel server product launches and improve in-fleet customer experience. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.

As a Lead Cloud Software Development Engineer, you will play a strategic technical leadership role in developing and scaling Intel's software tools and ecosystem. The position focuses on the architecture, development, validation, maintenance, and debugging of cloud-scale fleet diagnostics, telemetry, quality screening, and customer health monitoring software. You will provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering organizations while helping define the future roadmap for fleet health capabilities supporting Intel Xeon products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of screening software capabilities supporting customer fleet health initiatives.
  • Define technical direction and software roadmaps for cloud-scale telemetry, health monitoring, quality screening, and diagnostics solutions.
  • Design scalable software platforms supporting customer fleet operations, deployment readiness, reliability analytics, and quality initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional technical execution across architecture, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering teams.
  • Lead development of customer-consumable software capabilities providing visibility into platform state, telemetry, hardware health indicators, and Intel Architecture internals.
  • Analyze large-scale telemetry, reliability, and quality datasets to identify defect signatures, platform health trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner directly with hyperscale cloud customers and strategic partners to understand fleet requirements and drive software solutions.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and create scalable screening methodologies for validation and customer environments.
  • Drive automation, observability, analytics, and infrastructure improvements that improve fleet monitoring and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across software architecture, diagnostics, telemetry, and platform health domains.
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure successful deployment of fleet health capabilities across current and future Intel Xeon platforms.
  • Influence long-term software strategy and customer quality initiatives across development, validation, and in-fleet operations.

Candidate Profile

  • The successful candidate should bring a combination of:
  • Leadership and software architecture expertise in C/C++ and Python.
  • Deep understanding of Intel Xeon platforms, server architecture, and processor microarchitecture.
  • Experience designing and scaling cloud-native telemetry, diagnostics, and observability solutions.
  • Expertise in fleet-scale monitoring, quality analytics, reliability engineering, and customer health solutions.
  • Hardware/software debug, validation, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Customer-focused engineering mindset with ability to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Influence across architecture, platform, validation, manufacturing, and customer enablement organizations.
  • Experience leading large-scale Data Center and Xeon server software initiatives.
  • Communication, mentoring, and technical leadership capabilities.
  • Operate effectively in highly dynamic environments while driving long-term technical strategy and execution.
  • Communication and technical leadership skills.
