What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain automation solutions (primarily Power Automate) to reduce manual effort in evidence workflows.
- Implement and maintain REST API integrations to connect systems (e.g., DistillerSR, SharePoint, Power BI) and enable seamless, scheduled data flow.
- Develop reusable, scalable data pipelines and processes (automated extract → store → refresh cycles).
- Operationalize agreed data structures; migrate and maintain structured evidence data into controlled, analytics-ready datasets.
- Implement processes to monitor data quality, keeping data accurate, traceable, and available for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards from CDS-managed datasets to enable scalable reporting and evidence visibility.
- Enable self-service analytics so stakeholders can access insights without ad-hoc requests.
- Explore and implement AI-enabled solutions (e.g., agents that transform unstructured clinical report content into structured data).
- Identify and eliminate manual, repetitive work; document and maintain solutions across updates.
- Help build repeatable ways of working — shared methods, templates, and clear documentation — so solutions are easy to maintain and reuse across teams and time zones.
What you need
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, data/software engineering, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related).
- Approximately 6–8+ years of relevant experience in an IT, data engineering, automation, BI, or systems-/business-analytics role.
- Strong hands-on Power Automate skills, including calling REST APIs from Power Automate.
- Demonstrated experience building REST API integrations between systems.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language, ideally Python.
- Working knowledge of SQL and core relational data concepts.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate effectively across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Broader Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Apps) and relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Google, IBM).
- Python with PySpark; exposure to Azure, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric (data flows / notebooks).
- Power BI dashboard development.
- Data modeling and experience building/optimizing data pipelines and architectures.
- Experience with tools/sources such as SharePoint, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.
- Prior experience delivering technical solutions in a regulated environment (medical device, pharma, CRO) or with clinical IT systems such as DistillerSR.
Skills Required
- Master's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
- 8-10 years clinical data management or similar experience in pharma/clinical research
- Experience in medical device companies
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, data management principles, and regulatory guidelines
- Proficiency with automation and Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Automate)
- Experience with clinical data management software
- Familiarity with GCP and CDISC standards
- Knowledge of SAS, SQL and/or Oracle Clinical
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Certification in clinical data management (e.g., CCDM)
- Knowledge of MS Project
- Knowledge of CDISC standards and data interchange formats (SDTM, ADaM)
- Familiarity with clinical trial design and regulatory guidelines (FDA/CFR, ICH/GCP)
- Understanding of data privacy and protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)
