About the Role
The Change and Organizational Effectiveness Lead Partner serves as the chief talent strategist for Uber Freight business leaders, partnering with them to enable business results through execution of talent strategies. The Lead Partner will be an action-oriented change agent who is able to work both collaboratively and independently while supporting the organization’s mission, values and culture.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic People advisor who proactively partners and engages with business leaders and C&OE team to drive strategic priorities and large scale projects for the business at the full organization level.
- Partner with C&OE, executives and senior management to enable business strategy and results through execution of talent management and workforce strategies.
- Drive strategic workforce and talent plans in alignment with the priorities set by business leaders, with clear, actionable steps that optimize the organization’s talent, structure, process and culture.
- Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments and design workforce models that build organizational capability, recognizing industry trends applying solutions that propel the business.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders for optimizing their leadership and team effectiveness and ensure effective business decision-making particularly related to the talent within the organization. Provides executive coaching.
- Partner with leaders and Employee Experience team on people practices driving effective outcomes for the organization and enhance team performance (e.g., calibration sessions, talent review, compensation analysis, employee engagement strategies).
- Interpret People data and use analytics to develop insights and provide strategic recommendations for business issues.
- Anticipate and address customers’ needs while building and expanding business relationships.
- Support change initiatives, in partnership with leadership to move the organization effectively through significant transformation (e.g., growth, restructuring, change management).
- Partner with People COEs and act as the People liaison to develop customer-based solutions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to operationalize workforce and succession strategies.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- At least 7 years’ experience in a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) / HR consulting role supporting C-suite
- Working knowledge of strategic workforce planning, talent management, change management or other HR functions such as compensation and talent acquisition
- Strong project management skills

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other Graduate degree
- Prosci Certification
- Excellent consulting and coaching skills
- Project/Program Management certification
- Results-driven with focus on meaningful metrics

US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.
- Illinois: The salary range for this role is $121,750 to $155,000 a year.
