We are a dynamic hybrid workplace environment that requires at least 2 days a week. The selected candidate will be based in the Atlanta office. 

The Business Technology and Security (BTS) Division has an exciting role for a Change Management Consultant. In this role, the selected individual will report directly to the Technology Planning Officer and will be an integral part of the team leading BTS into the future. With appropriate oversight, the Change Management Consultant will execute the change management components of BTS initiatives with division and enterprise impact, with a focus on digital and organizational transformation. A successful Change Management Consultant will use influence and innovation to maximize change adoption and ensure a positive end-user experience for internal staff and stakeholders. This is an entirely new position, with the expectation that the selected individual will play a significant part in creating their role.

Your role as Change Management Consultant 

 

  • With minimal guidance and direction from BTS leadership, lead the execution of a comprehensive BTS enterprise organizational transition plan with a focus on enabling and engaging the BTS workforce to participate meaningfully organizational change. 

  • Responsible for prioritizing key actions to drive change throughout the enterprise to support the BTS’ vision, strategy, and values.  

  • Consult with teams throughout the enterprise to identify functional opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaborate with functions to develop change initiatives, implement change processes, and support transition activities related to enterprise level initiatives and programs. Contribute to process improvement efforts, reducing frustration and complexity and enabling employees to achieve their career bests. 

  • Highly organized with strong project management experience to define, scope, and execute projects and initiatives 

  • Lead/facilitate/develop work group of BTS change liaisons 

  • Proven leader, developer, and motivator of high performing project teams; to include providing candid constructive feedback with a focus on development and accountability; and values and promotes diversity and inclusion 

  • Identify, address, and monitor key change-related opportunities and risks, including those that may impede or be precipitated by BTS. Consult with staff members across the organization to identify and manage anticipated resistance to change. 

  • Identify and collect metrics to measure the success of the change management efforts, particularly people’s experience related to the BTS’ organizational transition. Provide reporting and other updates to management and teams. 

  • Work with key stakeholders throughout the enterprise to create a strong common culture that puts the customer first. 

  • Partner with staff throughout the BTS in a collaborative manner, using influence and empathy to build relationships and trust.  

  • Be a change champion to encourage an adaptive culture and drive change throughout the enterprise. Work with staff across the organization to embrace change. Provide support and coaching to people leaders to help them instill change in their teams. 

  • Contribute to the development of transparent communications relevant to change initiatives to build trust in the change.  

 

 

What we are looking for 

 

  • Advanced Knowledge of change management principles and practices. Passion for advocating, anticipating, and orchestrating change.  

  • Advanced Knowledge of techniques and processes that allow for change management to become an embedded part of supporting the organization near and long term. 

  • Excellent collaboration skills with an interest in ensuring strong relationships and an ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals  

  • Highly Experienced in supporting change and driving results in a highly matrixed and virtual team, with the ability to influence and execute initiatives that continually improve the BTS.  

  • Ability to lead and oversee multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously to advance the creation of a team culture that enables staff to achieve results in a changing environment. 

  • Ability to lead with a System-centered, strategic, action-oriented mindset focused on performance and accountability 

  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills and the ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals and build trust at all levels of the organization 

  • Track record of assessing risk while balancing business needs and priorities. 

  • Knowledge of data collection techniques and tools, as well as proficient data analysis skills. 

  • Courage to put transparency into action to bring visibility to change initiatives.

  • Intellectually curious and agile, with demonstrated ability to learn, experiment, and encourage innovation. 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, Communications, HR, Organizational Effectiveness or a related field, or equivalent work experience  

  • 8+ years preferredof practical change management experience, including driving employee communications and strategy engagements, leading major projects/initiatives in large, complex organizations 

  • PROSCI, CCMP or relevant certifications required 

  • When business travel commences safely, up to 15%
