POSTION SUMMARY:
Work with FSSC Team members worldwide to progress toward One Way of Working. Understand invoicing requirements for all countries around to world. Ensure that FSSC NA’s invoicing and AR requirements are known during improvement processes. Be a value added contributor in process improvement discussions.
Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
- Initiate improvements and process changes based on your expertise.
- Translate possible improvements in business cases, based on issues/risks which occurs and on the stakeholders needs.
- Be responsible for the operational tasks which are related to Treasury/Multicurrency.
- Prepare and understand Multi-Currency Excel models for customer contracts where there is a foreign currency component as it relates to inflows and outflows in our cash positions
- Understand the various Warranty concepts, and prepare the monthly bookings
- Be aligned with various stakeholders such as Treasury managers, Sales Managers, Project Controllers and Project Managers
- Ensure that the way of working within our Business Scenario Lead 2 Cash (L2C) is in accordance with the Vanderlande processes and accounting principles (IFRS and J-Sox).
- Be aligned and cooperates closely with your peers which are located in EMEA and Pune.
- Act and steer on KPI improvements together with the operational team, stakeholders and the DPO.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with (internal) customers and other functional groups at all levels including executive decision makers
- Extend support to the operations team to understand specific root cause and acts in their Tier 2 role
- Writes/reviews work instructions / SOP’s
- Coordinating and participation in Test process - UAT - in case of tool changes
- Manage large internal projects or represent FSSC North America accordingly
- Act on behalf of or as back up for one of the FSSC North America managers (AR, AP or GL)
- Comfortable with training new employees inside and outside the FSSC Team
- Ability to identify improvements and implement continuous improvements in conjunction with FSSC NA
- Other general staff accountant responsibilities assigned as needed
Required Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance or 5-10 yrs. relevant work experience
- Advanced Excel experience with proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with JD Edwards E1 or similar accounting software
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):
- Experience multitasking/handling multiple deliverables simultaneously while taking care of operational tasks
- Able to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from different departments or disciplines. Also being able to work independently.
- Strong analytical skills, being curious to analyze complex problems, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions
- Clear and concise communications skills
- Willing to invest in own development and future, in an ambitious and international environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Speaking Spanish is a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.
Travel:
Minimal Domestic & International travel will be involved
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
