In this role, you will:
- Develop and sustain a high-performing personal property tax team through coaching, performance feedback, career development, and thoughtful talent planning
- Direct operational accounting support for internal business partners, including ownership of payment processing activities, monitoring team communications, maintaining documentation, and overseeing check run processes
- Lead personal property tax compliance for leased assets by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of renditions and related filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee personal property tax audits, appeals, and notices for leased assets, including coordinating responses, supporting documentation, and resolution with state and local taxing authorities
- Develop, implement, and support processes and systems to compile, validate, and manage data necessary for personal property tax compliance for leased assets across multiple jurisdictions
- Exercise judgment to resolve technical, operational, and accounting issues related to personal property tax matters in support of business objectives
- Interpret and develop personal property tax policies, procedures, and processes aligned with internal standards and applicable state and local tax laws impacting leased assets
- Collaborate with peers and leaders across the organization to provide guidance on personal property tax matters impacting leased assets
- Interact with external taxing authorities, agencies, and industry groups on personal property tax matters related to leased assets
- Plan and deploy resources to support personal property tax compliance activities for leased assets and meet business priorities
- 5+ years of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA and/or Master's degree preferred.
- 5 - 10+ years of progressive experience in state and local taxation, including significant experience with personal property tax compliance and administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of personal property tax compliance and administration, including multi-jurisdictional filings, assessment review and appeals, billing and payment review, refund and credit processing, and support of jurisdictional audits and tax notices
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdictional personal property tax compliance, with exposure to leased or capital-intensive asset portfolios preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Property Tax Management Systems (PTMS) and the use of system-driven data to support compliance, billing, appeals, audits, and reporting
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop tax or accounting teams, with responsibility for operational tax and accounting processes, including performance management, resource planning, payment processing, documentation standards, and internal controls
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in resolving complex technical, operational, and accounting issues related to personal property tax matters
- Experience designing, improving, or supporting processes and systems used to compile, validate, and manage asset-level and tax data
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and taxing authorities

- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$131,000.00 - $206,000.00
