Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to lead business systems support for the MONARCH business across service, quote-to-cash, and commercial processes by partnering cross-functionally to optimize systems and improve process performance. This position spans CRM, ERP, and related platforms, including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, CPQ, and other business systems. The Lead Business Systems Analyst will drive standardization, enhance efficiency, implement and/or oversee feature enhancements and defect resolution, and provide leadership for licenses, fees, and system governance. This role will also serve as a key business partner, working closely with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to align systems capabilities with business needs and strategic priorities.
This role requires strong capabilities in requirements gathering, process analysis, process improvement, user needs assessment, stakeholder coordination, and user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will serve as a business process expert for MONARCH, leading business representation in major Johnson & Johnson IT initiatives such as Butterfly and Transcend by gathering requirements, organizing subject matter experts, and translating business needs into scalable system and process solutions. The role requires a balance of technical aptitude, business acumen, and customer focus to deliver practical, efficient tools and workflows that support the business.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional partnership with service, quote-to-cash, commercial, and other teams to gather requirements, document current- and future-state processes, and drive standardization and business systems improvements.
Oversee and enhance key business systems, including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, CPQ, and other platforms used across the MONARCH business.
Lead coordination with IT, SAP, and other technical teams to prioritize enhancements, deploy new functionality, resolve system defects, and manage release activities, including testing, production validation, and user readiness.
Provide leadership for business systems governance and administration, including user access, licenses, process documentation, configuration coordination, and alignment with security, compliance, and audit requirements.
Oversee data quality, reporting, and integration performance by monitoring process issues, driving root-cause resolution, and coordinating corrective actions with business and technical teams.
Lead coordination and management of external vendor products and support, including partners such as Cognizant, ProntoForms, and other third-party providers, to streamline costs and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
Ensure business systems needs are reflected in budgeting processes and lead related financial and procurement activities, including CAPEX requests, purchase orders, and ongoing license or support costs.
Serve as a business process expert for MONARCH in major Johnson & Johnson IT initiatives, including Butterfly and Transcend, by leading requirements gathering, understanding user needs, and organizing the appropriate subject matter experts across functions.
Lead user acceptance testing, training, change management, and communications related to system updates, enhancements, and new business processes.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in a business analyst, business systems analyst, or similar role required, including experience leading cross-functional initiatives; experience supporting service, commercial, or quote-to-cash processes preferred.
Experience supporting business systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, CPQ, or similar CRM and ERP platforms required.
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, user acceptance testing, and cross-functional stakeholder leadership required.
Experience partnering with IT and technical teams to prioritize enhancements, lead system changes, and resolve process or system issues required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and drive execution required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence effectively across functions and organizational levels, required.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or IT transformation initiatives preferred.
Relevant certifications in Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, CPQ, or related platforms preferred.
Experience in a medical device, healthcare, or other regulated environment preferred.
Experience with reporting, dashboards, analytics, data quality, or process documentation preferred.
