Role Overview
As an early member of the talent team reporting to our Head of Business Recruiting, you'll own and drive full-cycle recruiting across our G&A and GTM teams (e.g. Sales, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance), while also building and leading elements of the recruiting function itself. In addition to carrying a high-impact requisition load, you’ll manage and mentor a small team of recruiters and/or contractors, and set recruiting strategy. This is an opportunity to bring deep recruiting expertise and leadership to a fast-growing company, with the autonomy to influence both team development and operational excellence.

This is a highly hands-on role; you’ll personally own and drive a significant portion of the company’s business hiring, carrying a full slate of 8–12 active requisitions at any given time while also leading strategic initiatives. You’ll balance the dual responsibilities of delivering results on individual searches and elevating the performance of the recruiting team while shaping the future of Harvey’s talent function

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leadership and hiring managers, building tailored recruiting strategies that align with hiring goals and business needs.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of recruiters and/or contractors, providing coaching, guidance, and career development.

  • Set team priorities, distribute req loads strategically, and hold team members accountable for delivery and quality

  • Establish and refine recruiting playbooks, best practices, and frameworks to uplevel team performance.

  • Own and execute full-cycle recruiting for 8–12 high-priority roles across multiple business functions at any given time.

  • Be deeply hands-on in sourcing, screening, and closing candidates, leveraging a mix of outbound strategies, networks, and referrals.

  • Design, implement, and scale recruiting programs, tools, and workflows to support long-term growth and operational efficiency.

  • Leverage data to inform hiring strategies, set benchmarks, and communicate recruiting progress with clear and actionable reporting.

  • Identify, engage, and hire top-tier talent through direct sourcing, leveraging networks, referrals, and creative outreach strategies.

  • Champion a high-quality candidate experience, fostering strong engagement at every stage of the process.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring processes and outcomes.

  • Provide hands-on mentorship and leadership to recruiters and coordinators, ensuring the team consistently raises the bar in recruiting execution.

  • Elevate recruiting standards and execution across the org by continuously iterating on tools, metrics, and processes.

What You Have

  • 10+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a strong background in G&A and/or GTM hiring.

  • Proven success recruiting in high-growth startup or complex, fast-paced environments.

  • Experience managing a high-volume, high-priority req load (8–12 roles) while maintaining quality and speed.

  • Experience designing and executing recruiting strategies in ambiguous or scaling orgs.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing recruiters and/or contractors, with a proven track record of developing talent and elevating team performance.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using recruiting data to inform decisions and optimize outcomes.

  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and project management skills.

  • Commitment to driving inclusive hiring practices and building diverse teams.

  • Nice to have: Familiarity with recruiting tools such as Ashby, Gem, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.

Compensation Range

$157,000 - $235,000 USD
