Lead Business Execution Consultant -Branch Distribution Strategy, Valuations, and Analytics
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant.The Wholesale Digital and Innovation team at Wells Fargo is looking for a dynamic individual to focus on planning, and analysis for complex initiatives spanning product, technology, and data domains. This role partners closely with Product, Technology, Finance, and Business stakeholders to drive business outcomes through structured planning, data-driven decision-making, and strong execution discipline. The role ensures transparency across teams, accurate forecasting, and robust metrics tracking to support business reviews and OKRs.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planning
- Provide principal level strategic consulting services to client organizations
- Represent Wells Fargo on Industry boards and committees
- Review and analyze complex larger-scale or longer-term challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Identify strategic business investments and alliance opportunities
- Make decisions in complex situations that influence and lead the broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Evaluate and approve process of identified opportunities
- Collaborate strategically and consult with all levels to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Partner with executive management across Wells Fargo to define the business strategy and create then execute corresponding business plans and initiative
- Communicative strategy and related business plans to management
- 5+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of strong experience in planning, data analysis and delivering complex initiatives across Product and Technology teams.
- Proficient in MS. Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Jira and Power BI.
- Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and modern delivery practices.
- Demonstrated experience working on Jira for sizing, estimates, reporting and delivery planning.
- Strong business acumen with experience in business case development, financial analysis, and investment planning.
- Proven ability to work with data, which includes pulling, analysing, and translating data into insights and decisions.
- Experience defining and managing OKRs, KPIs, and executive-level metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
- Experience in managing large, matrixed and enterprise data.
- Background in digital platforms, data-heavy products, or technology-led transformations.
- Experience preparing executive-level materials for portfolio reviews, and business updates.
Partnership:
- Partner closely with Product teams to understand proposed roadmap, dependencies, and delivery approaches.
- Support sizing, estimation, and capacity planning by coordinating with Product Leads and validating assumptions.
- Ensure clarity of delivery-ready plans for multiple portfolios.
- Develop a strong understanding of the product landscape, capabilities, and platform constraints.
- Lead and support business case development, including problem statement, benefits articulation, cost analysis, and ROI assessment.
- Partner with Leaders, Executives and Finance to align funding, forecasts, and budget tracking with delivery plans.
- Validate estimates and perform financial analysis to support prioritization and investment decisions.
- Track planned vs actuals and highlight variances, impacts, and mitigation strategies.
- Understand the breadth of enterprise data and leverage data to inform planning, delivery, and performance management.
- Pull, analyse, and synthesize data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Define, track, and manage OKRs, KPIs, and delivery metrics across teams.
- Prepare metrics and insights for Business Updates & Reviews (BUR), leadership forums, and Executive reviews.
