At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investment decisions, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. As a Lead Business Consultant, you will be responsible for improving implementation expertise and enhancing the knowledge of Consultants in our market unit and beyond.

What You Will Do:

We are looking for a Lead Business consultant to join our APAC Consulting Services team, which seeks consulting expertise, efficiency in configuration and standardisation, knowledge sharing and collaboration across divisions and market units. You will be part of the Data Management Service Line. This Service Line is responsible for the implementation of Data Management solutions which covers 3 main areas: 

  • Integration – how SimCorp Dimension® connects to and interacts with external systems and solutions 

  • Data Warehouse and Reporting - how information is retrieved from SimCorp Dimension® 

  • System Operations - the services required to access and process data inside SimCorp Dimension®. 

In your role you will also be exposed to the whole SimCorp value chain from Front Office to Back Office, including Reporting. 

As part of your induction, you will be ‘hands-on’ in our software system and attend the three-weeks SimCorp Dimension Academy.  

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • You will take over a range of tasks in a project team: Your main mission consists in advising and assisting clients with the use of SimCorp Dimension in their daily operational work. You act as a facilitator between the end-users of financial institutions and their new financial system dealing with their specific business requirements and covering the complete value chain of asset management.  

  • You conduct workshops to explore client requirements working with clients and SimCorp’s team to help capture, define and suggest the most adapted solution; 

  • You build, deliver and test configuration work in aspects of SimCorp Dimension based on client requirements 

  • You advise on process improvements through better use of Simcorp Dimension and you contribute to improve and document best practices for implementations. 

  • You constantly expand your knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and the clients’ business in order to ensure that clients get the optimal value/ outcome out of their Simcorp Dimension usage 

  • You contribute to the knowledge sharing within service line projects and tasks 

  • You contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects 

  • You participate in know-how exchange with colleagues on an international level 

WHAT WE VALUE  

You like to deep dive into business processes in investment management and enjoy modelling them in our software. You have in-depth knowledge about the business at asset managers, fund managers, insurers or banks. In addition you bring with you: 

  • Experience implementing or configuring investment management systems similar to SimCorp Dimension®, or work experience as Business Analyst or Consultant for asset managers, asset servicers, insurance or consulting firms (2 years minimum) 

  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Economics or similar qualification 

  • You are familiar with the processes at asset managers, insurance companies and banks 

  • Knowledge in some of the following areas: SQL, relational data bases, data warehouse, reports and XSLT (XML)  

  • High organizational skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team 

  • Good communication and consulting skills and a high degree of commercial awareness, customer orientation and quality consciousness 

  • Team spirit and a willingness to share your knowledge 

  • Fluency in English

  • Readiness to travel  

  • Others:

  • Knowledge on APIs

  • Experience working with Comm Server

  • Experience in integrating solutions

  • Solution oriented mindset

  • Customer focused attitude

Skills Required

  • Experience implementing or configuring investment management systems or work as Business Analyst/Consultant for asset managers, servicers, insurers or consulting firms (2 years minimum)
