Position Description
The Algorithmic Trading team is looking for a Algo Business Analyst to join our Hong Kong ALGO team. Our trading platform is purely developed in-house; the successful candidate will work closely with Electronic Execution desk, Equity Traders and Technologists to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge solutions for the Asia Pacific region.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements, translate business needs into functional and technical solutions, and help define implementation priorities and delivery roadmaps.
Analyse business problems, evaluate system impacts, and work closely with development and trading teams to propose practical solutions that align with market requirements, client needs, and strategic product direction
Provide expert support for Algo system, responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents in a timely manner.
Proactively monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents, document findings, and work with development teams for long-term solutions.
Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
Provide insight and deliver technical solutions to business problems.
Develop, optimize and enhance algorithmic trading strategies
Work with a team of talented Algo developers on our Algo and Analytic systems throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Work with cross-functional teams on market data, market connectivity, and execution management system projects.
Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures
Requirements
Degree or above in Computer Science or Software Engineering
10+ years of experience in trading system development, with a preference for expertise in algorithmic trading.
Solid development experience in C# or other object-oriented programming languages.
Strong understanding of Equity trading in Asian market.
Expertise in relational database such as Oracle, with advanced proficiency in SQL development, including complex query optimization.
Machine learning and AI theory of algorithms would be a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytic skills, with a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Chinese proficiency is advantage
